One of my faves... Poet, Visual Artist, and Tattoo Artist Spiryt was born in Columbia, South Carolina and since 2002 he’s used the art form as one of his outlets. His poetry is a rife hip hop inspired rhymes delivering real life issues. With two poems Spiryt ranked top 10 in the International spoken word competition on Ourstage.com. Visual art being his first love, Spiryt has been in several art shows in Columbia and Charleston South Carolina. ‘The Session Live!!!’ is Columbia, South Carolinas only spoken word venue to stream live over the internet, and has as many as 3000 viewers. April 13th marks one year of spoken word performance and has featured a wide range of local talent from singers and poets, to musicians and hip-hop artists. The Session Live has featured legendary artists from HBO Def Poet: Tommy Bottoms, to Emmy Award winning Georgia ME, to KRS-One’s personal advisor, Minister Server. He featured in The Prysamatic Dreams spoken word showcase “Return of the Up-top tour” in Augusta GA, recorded his smash hit “This is what happened to Hip-Hop” in Atlanta and featured at The Session Live at the Green Apple in East Point GA.
